  1. “The biggest player I’ve seen in my life was Pelé; a mixture of Di Stéfano, Maradona, Cruyff, and Messi, all in one player.”

    – César Luis Menotti (Argentina 1978 WC manager)

  2. Pele overated? Nah more like you are not very intelligent. Listen to what many the greatest players of alltime have said about him, players like Pushkas (who played with Di Steffano), Beckenbauer, Charlton, Rivellino (Maradona’s idol), Platini, Romario, and even Maradona’s coach Menotti. That’s just a few legends of the game who know what they’re talking about. Its impossible for Pele to be overated because of the things he did in his career, from the age of 17.

  3. You clearly are ignorant to say that. That was the most brutal era of football, when refs didn’t protect players, pitches were terrible, and balls were heavier and harder to control, yet Pele mastered every facet of the game. Free kicks, headers, dribbling, first touch, volleys, bicycle kicks, 30 yard screamers…Pele dominated the game, and Santos rarely lost when he was playing. Everyone wanted to see & BEAT Santos & Pele, and they needed the money so they also played many exhibition games.

  4. Great video:) but I still dont know why they tried to get rid of ronaldinho . If ronaldinho was still in Barca, they would be better than they are right now.

  5. Different times, different disadvantages and advantages. No player has the right to be called the greatest player ever. What we can say about Messi is that he is the greatest modern football player we have ever seen and the best dribbler so far.

  8. Messi is without doubt the greatest player of our generation. It’s great to be able to see his skills every week, and he truly makes real entertainment out of football. People aren’t watching Barcelona, they are watching Messi.

  9. Football was so weak back then. LOL. You make me laugh. Pele had to play through people attempting to break his legs (they actually did once) people grabbing his shorts jerseys, hard tackles, body checks, and all sorts of illegal stuff that were rarely called.
